In this program, students will come to understand that assertiveness is a kind of confidence. It is a skill that helps people clearly communicate their needs, wants, and feelings without hurting anyone else. Assertiveness is a way to effectively communicate thoughts, feelings, and wants.
This program presents true-to-life scenarios where teens are pressured into a behavior that is risky, illegal, or unhealthy. Viewers will learn skills that will help them to be more assertive, which in turn will help them have more control of their lives as well as feel more content and confident.
