As they develop a sense of their own identity, kids naturally compare themselves to others. And they are quick tease, put down, or even reject those who are different. Getting them to see differences as the spark that makes life special and interesting is an ongoing challenge. Portraying kids who come from different cultures have different physical attributes, and different interests, this program builds respect and helps viewers appreciate themselves and others.

After viewing this program students will: Realize that each person is unique in their own way. Understand that families come from different places. See that no one is ‘perfect’ and that we all have things about ourselves we like and don’t like.

Recognize that each person’s talents and interests are valuable and important.
