Just about everyone asks themselves, am I ready to have sex? Unfortunately, for most people it’s never a definite “yes” or “no”. The program suggests that a good question to ask yourself is “am I doing this because it’s something I want to do?” Viewers will learn that everyone has a reason to have or not to have sex, and not to give into the pressures. It is emphasized that the decision to have sex has got to be on your own terms, and for your own reasons.

For many people having sex can leave them feeling exposed or vulnerable. The program suggests that every one ask these simple questions; can you trust your partner to be there? Are they a person you can talk to openly about your feelings and your relationship?

This video stresses the importance of knowing about having safe sex. Students will come to understand that for their physical and emotional health they must know the facts about sex. If not, they must ask questions and get the answers they need from health care professionals or other adults they can trust. And finally, the program asks students to explore and think about their own values about sex before they say yes and to realize that abstinence is always a good option.
